Hi Team! Arriving 5/9/13 at MCO at 9:30am-ME to OKW. What time do you think we could actually be in MK that day? My kids ask every day "can we look at the itinerary? Let's talk about Disney!" Thx for the help---it takes a village to plan a disn

    Hi Lori,

Your trip will be here before you know it! How exciting! I sure can relate to kids asking to chat about Disney every day.

If you arrive at 9:30am, I would plan to be at the Magic Kingdom by 1:30pm. In theory, you could be there a lot sooner, but it's better to be pleasantly surprised by being ahead of schedule than disappointed by it taking longer than you hoped. The Magical Express is slightly unpredictable. Meaning, you may get in line just after one headed to Old Key West has left (so you may have to wait a bit longer) or you may luck out and walk right on one. The buses always stop at two to three different resorts and yours could be first or it could be last. I have had it take up to 3 hours from arrival at the airport to checking in to my resort. I've also had it take less than an hour.

After checking in and storing your luggage, you'll head out to the park buses. Those run approximately every 20 minutes and similarly to what I posted above, you never know if you just missed one (so you'll be waiting a bit) or if one is coming around the bend. During your vacation, you should plan on an hour to get from one location to the next with onsite Disney transportation. This is an average and sometimes you'll be ahead of schedule, other times you'll be cutting it close.

Personally, I would tell my kids 2:00pm just so they aren't asking non-stop and then they'll be super excited to be ahead of schedule if all goes smoothly.

Hope this helps and that you have a wonderful vacation. Please let me know if I can assist you further,
