We are teachers w/2kids. Considering time off, weather, and crowd issues, which week would u come to DW, Pres. Day weekend and a few days before, or thanksgiving week? We do not want to go when it's hot. Is one of those times less crowded than the other?

    Hi Brandie!!!

I am also a teacher (well, actually now I am an Assistant Principal.)  Once a teacher, always a teacher, right?

I can very much relate with your question as I have to struggle with this as well.  School breaks are the only time I can go to Walt Disney World!

There are definitely benefits to each time that you have asked about.  The February President's Day Weekend/Week has become one of the more crowded times at Walt Disney World.  The weather is usually great during this week and the parks stay open late due to the high crowds.  During Thanksgiving the entire resort is decked out in Christmas decorations which are just absolutely amazing to see.  This is also a very crowded time since people are off for Thanksgiving.

If I HAD to choose between the two I would say go Thanksgiving.  I honestly think each time you are asking about are about the same crowd wise.  The advantage for Thanksgiving is being able to see the Christmas decorations at all the theme parks and resorts.  The weather may also be a little cooler, which may be a benefit to you since you don't want it to be hot.

Please come back to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel with any other questions you might have!!

    Have a magical day!!
