I am a teacher in my state so I am considered a governemnt emplyoyee. Are there discounts for governement employees?

    Hi Marsha,

The only category of employment for which there are discounts at Walt Disney World is the military. Everyone else pays the same rates for park tickets and stays at Disney-owned resort hotels.

There are sometimes discounts for teachers and other types of government employees at the Swan and Dolphin hotels, which are not owned by Disney, but are located on Disney property. I have found good information about these discounts on an independent website called swandolphin.com.

Another website worth investigating is mousesavers.com. This site lists all the discounts and promotions available for the parks and resorts. There may not be an employee discount that applies to you, but you might find something else that saves you money.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
