HI Tanya!! We're taking our boys (7&9) for their first trip to WDW in June - I read you have 2 boys as well - what "boy friendly" exhibits/areas/stores would you recommend we not miss? They'd prefer we skip the "princess" areas!

    Hi Mary!

Oh boy do I have boys!  Does your house have toy cars, trains and legos everywhere too?  Here are my top picks for boys about your sons' ages.

    Stores -
    - Lego Imagination Center at Downtown Disney - you don't have to buy a thing at this great store with an outdoor play area where kids can design their own creations.
    - Once Upon a Toy - also Downtown, has the biggest selection of toys and games at Disney.

    Rides -
    - Toy Story Mania! at Hollywood Studios - your kids will don 3-D glasses and compete in interactive carnival-style games based on the movies.
    - Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin at the Magic Kingdom is another interactive blast.
    - If your kids like roller coasters, the three "mountains" at Magic Kingdom are a must see - Space Mountain, Big Thunder, and Splash Mountain.
    - Tomorrowland Indy Speedway will give your kids the chance to "drive" their own race car.
    - Test Track and Mission Space are my boys' Epcot favorites

    Character Greet Areas -
    - I'd skip the Princess line, and head for line with members of the "Fabulous Five" at the Toontown Hall of Fame located in Mickey's Toontown.  You can also meet Buzz and Woody in a character area located directly across from the Toy Story Mania ride.

    Shows -
    -
The "Lights Motors Action Stunt Show" at the Studios is a young boy's dream, equipped with revving engines, screeching tires, jet skiis, motorcycles and stunt cars.

    Restaurants -
    - The Sci Fi Dine In Theater lets you sit in an old convertible, eat burgers and watch old sci-fi shorts and cartoons.  What could be more fun?
    - As for character breakfasts, I'd skip the Castle and head for Chef Mickey's, where many of the "Fabulous Five" will entertain your boys while they dine.

I hope some of my suggestions will be "hits" with your fellas!
