How tall do kids have to be for rides

    Hi there Sandy!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. From calm attractions to exciting ones fit for any thrill-seeker, there really is something for everyone at the Disneyland Resort. You can easily look online at every attraction that has a height requirement. The various height requirements for different attractions range from 32 to 54 inches. You'll also find that most attractions actually do not have any height requirement, which means they are safe for even the littlest Guests including infants. Some of our favorite attractions without a height requirement are Peter Pan's Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Pirates of the Caribbean, and "it's a small world" to name just a few. You can even search an interactive list of every attraction in the park online not only by height but also by if there are any mobility concerns or if it is safe for expectant mothers, etc... Signs near attraction will also list concerns such as turbulence or darkness.

If you have a little one that is too small for an attraction that other members of your party want to experience, you may benefit from Disneyland Resort's Rider Switch Service. This allows guests to take turns riding while someone watches the non-riding guest. The second party riding can bypass the standby queue and enter the FASTPASS line saving your group a significant amount of time. Just ask a Cast Member at the ride entrance before boarding if you would like to use this service. My husband and I can't live without this when we want to ride Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, or Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! while our three year old sits it out.

I hope this was helpful, and have a magical day!
