Talk to me about Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. How does it work? Could you spend all day playing it?

    Hi Wendy,

You've come to the right place for all your planning questions. We just love helping guests get the most out of their magical vacations. I am so glad to hear that you are interested in the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom interactive game. This happens to be one of my oldest son's favorite things to do at Walt Disney World. He really got into it last summer on our trip and it was a great way for him to do something while my younger two were enjoying some of the smaller rides that didn't interest him.

The programs is complimentary as it is included in the price of admission. I would suggest heading over to the Firehouse on Main Street, USA as you enter Magic Kingdom to get started. For each person with an admission ticket, you can receive a set of trading cards. Even if everyone in your party isn't going to participate, you should still have everyone get a set of cards. If you do visit the Magic Kingdom on more than one day, be sure to get a new pack of tickets for each park admission each new day.  This way, you have more cards in your "arsenal" to play with. My son also spent some of his souvenir money on a special binder that they sell to keep all of his cards organized. The binder has a strap, so it can be carried easily throughout the day.

We were at the park all day on both of our days in Magic Kingdom and while he didn't play it exclusively, he would do it fairly often as we got close to a portal and he got quite a bit of it done. The game can change all depending on the strength of the cards used. Some of the trading cards are more powerful than others. My son had a few of the cards that he would use repeatedly to gain more power.

I hope you have fun saving the Magic Kingdom from those dastardly villains!
