Has there been any talk of Magic Band's ability to being linked to a credit card for non resort guests? We are traveling in March of 2016 and would LOVE to be able to link a credit card to our Magic Bands. Any ideas if that is in the works some day?

    Hi Melissa!

Magic Bands have truly changed the way my family vacations at Walt Disney World. While at first I was apprehensive, we have come to love the ease and convenience of our Magic Bands! Plus, choosing our Magic Band style and customization has become an important part of our vacation planning and excitement.

Currently, only Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel are able to link a credit card to their Magic Band. I have not heard anything about expanding the Magic Band benefits for off-property Guests. Charging to your Magic Band is considered a perk of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, so this may not be something that will change.

In case you would consider staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you should check out this Special Offers & Deals page. Currently, there are several Special Offers available that may cover your travel dates! Perhaps one of these promotions would allow you to stay right in the magic and enjoy all the perks that Magic Bands have to offer. With over 25 trips to Walt Disney World, I really do prefer to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort, and I always encourage my friends and family to do the same. From Extra Magic Hours to free parking, there are so many great reasons to stay within the magic! This recent post by the Disney Parks Blog has a musically fun way to tell you all about the reasons why you should consider it. If you have any additional questions, or even need a resort recommendation, come back and let us know!

Wishing you an unforgettable Walt Disney World vacation!
