Taking my 84 yr.old Mom to Animal Kingdom. Is the cost of shows/safari included in admission? Her walking is limited (wheelchair). Can you suggest "must sees"? Also, can I download the park map anywhere showing restaurants too? Many thanks!!

Mary you are doing exactly what I did a year ago!  And my mom was 84 at the time and still talks about her trip!

Everything is included in the cost of a park ticket for the Animal Kingdom with the exception of your food and drink.  When you enter you can rent a wheelchair for the day if you are not coming with your own.  The cost is about $10 for one day...cheaper if you get a length of stay for your vacation.  It is a large park so be sure you do this at the entrance.

My mother always LOVED the Kilimanjaro Safari ride and wheel chairs are easily put on the safari vehicles...she won't have to get out at all.  Do this early or at least get a FAST PASS so you are not in the long lines waiting. The Festival of the Lion King is one of my all time favorite Disney shows at any of the parks so be sure and get the event and entertainment schedule from guest services or as you enter the park. Again this is wheelchair friendly.  The last of my "must see" attractions is Its Tough To Be A Bug.  For this show if she is able to be wheeled into the theater and then sit in one of the regular chairs for the show she will appreciate it more...can't give away any secrets but...!

Other attractions she will love and wheelchair accessible are:
Pangani Forest Exploration Trail (gorillas are the highlight)
    Maharajah Jungle Trek (tiger area)
    Flights of Wonder (bird show)
    Finding Nemo the musical show
Rafikis Planet Watch (train to this area)

Great place for lunch:  Flame Tree BarBQ....find a seat down by the waters edge by following the trail from the ordering area.

Go the main Disney website, www.disneyworld.com, to customize and get a free park map. You will see a small mention of this at the bottom left side. It will ask you to note what attractions you hope to see and do. Enjoy!
