I will be taking my 2 yr old son for the first time. I have not been to WDW in nearly 20 years, so I feel lost. Is it realistic to plan on spending the entire day or should I plan 2 days. Are there enough rides for a two yr old? What are the best ones?

Hi Orisel! What a wonderful trip to plan not only for your son but also for you since it has been twenty years since you made your own visit to Walt Disney World!

Many things have changed and it will be like your first visit for you.  I am assuming you are thinking about just visiting the Magic Kingdom park during your short stay.  Spending a long full day for a two year old will be hard on both of you. It is suggested you plan your Magic Kingdom visit over two days so you can enjoy and take your time and most important build in nap times so your son will be a happy trooper!

There are many great attractions in the park and they will start to open the new Fantasyland starting in about a week. Over the next two years more and more will be new adding great space to this most popular land of the Kingdom.  You will not be able to take your son on the roller coaster type attractions as there is a height restriction but there will be plenty to do to cover two days.

Many guests forget about Tom Sawyer's Island or take the time to ride the Riverboat in Liberty Square.  There is so much entertainment going on throughout the day and night that you won't want to miss that as well.  Two days will give you the opportunity to see all the parades and take time to get some of your favorite character photos and autographs.

When you try to put that all in one day it will be hard on both of you and likely you will feel stressed and leave not having the magical time you had hoped. My vote is certainly taking two days to enjoy this great park!
