I am taking my 12 yr old nephew to DisneyWorld in mid June this year. His first time. Im trying to decide between the Pop Century and the Animation. I do like the extra room in the Family Suite at the Animation, but wonder if its worth the extra money.

If you enjoy having an extra bathroom and communal space that's more than just a table and two chairs, the suites at Art of Animation are definitely worth the money, especially if you utilize its microwave and refrigerator to help save on meals in the parks.

However, take a look at the photos of the Family Suites here to make sure that their theming is not too juvenile for your 12-year-old nephew. Our family got a sneak-peak of the resort right before it opened two years ago and my son was 12 years old at the time. I asked him which suite he'd prefer and what recommendations he'd give. He offered that the Nemo suite would suit him better than the Cars or Lion King suite. What he still talks about is its pool. If you decide on a Standard Room, though, it should be noted that the more general Pop Century rooms might be more age-appropriate for your nephew than the Little Mermaid standard rooms of Art of Animation.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
