We're taking our 2 yr old and 7 mnth old to Magic Kingdom. The 2 yr old has SEVERE food allergies, we have to bring a small cooler with food for him. We are bringing the double stroller for the kids, should we bring another small stroller for cooler?

    Hi Desiree,

We usually carry a small (soft) cooler with us into the parks stocked with frozen juice boxes, sandwiches and snacks for our kids.  I'm usually able to manage by letting it hang off of our stroller handles or sticking it in the basket underneath.  (Please note that Disney doesn't permit you to bring rolling coolers into the parks, so I recommend a soft, portable one.)  If you prefer not to carry the cooler the entire day, you can also rent a locker at any of the parks.  They are located near the entrance of each of the parks.  Many people prefer this option, and access their food whenever they need to.  (My kids are hungry all day long, so we just keep our "stash of goodies" with us.)

In my opinion storing the cooler in/on/under your existing stroller and/or renting locker is more convenient than bringing an extra stroller.  However, if you felt that that would work well for your family, there's no reason you couldn't do so.

Many families with severe food allergies find that Disney is extremely accommodating, and offers wonderful dining options.  If you are interested in dining at any restaurants, I would recommend calling ahead to the Disney Dining line (407) 939-3463 when making your reservations. They are happy to help you plan great meals that meet your family's special needs!

    Have a wonderful trip!
