    Elise Asked

We're taking my 2-year-old nephew for his 1st visit & trying to plan ahead as much as possible. My sister is anxious about taking a child that young & has a fear of crowds. Any tips on how to structure our day at the MK & how to maintain

    Hi, Elise!

My first suggestion would be to speak to your nephew's pediatrician.  I can give advice from a Mom's point of view, but nothing will be the advice of a medical professional.

While at Walt Disney World, you will have to deal with large groups of guests everywhere you go:  buses, attractions, even restaurants.  The best thing you can do to minimize this would be to do the parks first thing in the morning, and even then, plan on a few hours then head back to your resort.  Use the rest of your day to enjoy swimming, your room, and resort activities.

Bring items from home that are familiar, such as your own stroller, a stuffed toy, or a cozy blanket.  Bring a few small toys to keep him busy such as picture books or toy cars.  I always find that snacks work well, too! Bring along a bag of goldfish crackers or cheerios. They work like magic!

Keep on your nephew's sleeping and eating schedule as much as possible.  The fewer the changes in his routine, the better he will be able to cope with all the activity around him. Good luck!
