We are taking our 2 year old to WDW for her first time, which moderate level resort and character dining would you recommend? She loves Mickey, Minnie, Cinderella, Jasmine, and Pirates! We want this experience to be one that she will always remember!!!

Hey there Karen! I've stayed at three of the four moderate resorts and, wouldn't you know it, the one I would recommend for your family is the only one I have yet to stay in. At two, I think your daughter would most appreciate the Port Orleans French Quarter for its vibrant, larger-than-life Mardi Gras theming. The food court is adorned with giant and colorful beads, masks, and crowns that hang from the ceiling. And if those oversized Mardi Gras icons don't impress your daughter, surely she'll find delight at the sight of the Doubloon Lagoon pool. To enter, you pass a playful Joker statue out front. A huge dragon with a protruding tongue serves as the pool slide and an alligator band plays near the pool's edge. Wandering the "streets" of the French Quarter, you'll notice quaint street signs and lots of ironwork reminiscent of the balconies in New Orleans.

My top choice for character dining would be the princess breakfast that takes place at Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom. There, you can be sure to meet Cinderella, and you have a good chance of seeing Jasmine too! The atmosphere will be very regal, seeing as how it takes place in Cinderella Castle. Another top choice, based on her character preferences, would be Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary resort where you can enjoy a buffet breakfast or dinner with Mickey and some of his closest friends.  Your daughter may also enjoy seeing the monorail zipping by overhead, as it passes right through the interior of the resort.  Enjoy your vacation!
