We are taking our 2 year old and soon to be 4 year old to Disney for the first time in two weeks and everyone keeps recommending fast pass. How does Fastpass work? I have looked up information but have also read that Disney is switching ways to use it.

    Lisa:

Disney's FastPass allows you to skip the long lines for major attractions and enjoy the experience even more by heading straight to the front of the line with very little wait! Every time I use a FastPass I feel like a VIP!

You are right that Disney has recently changed how you obtain a FastPass through their new FastPass+ system which allows you to choose up to three park experiences a day ahead of time. You will need to either have a hard ticket that has a ticket number on the back that you can link up to your resort reservation or purchase your tickets from Disney with a vacation package in order to make a selection online before you visit the parks.

I was sent an email by Disney about 60 days out from my recent visit telling me I could make my FastPass+ selections. If you have a prior hard ticket or a reservation, just follow the directions at MyDisneyExperience.com.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
