    Cara from AZ Asked

We are taking our 4 year old and 15 month old on their 3rd trip to Disney in Sept. We have always brought our double stroller but I am contemplating on letting our 4 year old walk. Any suggestions?

Hi Cara! Stroller decisions are always difficult. Single-double, rent-bring!  Your 15 month old will definitely need the stroller to make it through the parks. At that age you are also needing to tote supplies along and the stroller is a great storage spot.

You will know the stamina of your four year old better then anyone else. My grandson started to walk the parks at four and for the most part did it with ease and no complaining. You will need to keep your pace slower if you choose to not have a stroller for the four year old.  We found the hardest park for him to deal with was Epcot. It is a long walk around the lagoon and the attractions are further apart meaning at times it seems all you do is walk.

You can try the no stroller approach and if you find it is not working you can purchase a simple but very nice umbrella stroller at almost any shop on property in the resorts and parks. It is priced around $55 and has a top and will recline slightly.  You will also have the option to rent a stroller in the parks which is where you will find you need one more then just going from resort to resort.

Double strollers are large and hard to deal with on buses where you must fold them up. September can still be quite hot so stamina might not be at the best but think about the options and consider your child's ability before making the final decision.
