I am taking my 4 and 1 1/2 year old to the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on January 2 and 3. We are going to reserve our FastPasses 30 days out. What are the rides that would be the best to try to get FastPasses for at each of these parks?

    Hi Jennifer,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let the happy dancing begin as you prepare for a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

At Magic Kingdom, I would do The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan's Flight and "it's a small world." These are all classic rides that allow guests of any height. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, I would select Na'vi River Journey, Kilimanjaro Safaris, and The Festival of the Lion King show. When our girls were younger, they also loved to play in The Boneyard. Take a break there after you experience a few attractions!

As you prepare for your visit, be sure to check the Attractions List to see the height requirements for rides. When our girls were younger, I also was not sure how they would react to some attractions, so I searched YouTube for videos of rides. Those videos helped me to determine how much I needed to prepare them for a ride. I like to call this meltdown prevention.

Jennifer, I hope you have downloaded the My Disney Experience Mobile App. Once you have used your initial three Fast Pass+ selections at each park, you can use the mobile app to make a fourth, "rolling" Fast Pass+. The great news is that, once you have used that one, you can make another if there are attractions with time slots available.

Remember to plan some break time while in the parks and make at least one advanced dining reservation for a character meal. I am sending you a little extra pixie dust as you travel with little ones!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
