I am taking my 6 year old grand-daughter for a 2 day park pass...staying at the Contemporary Resort. Would it be better to do Magic Kingdom for 2 days or Epcot one and MK one? She loves Frozen :-)

    Hi Margaret,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. A trip to Walt Disney World with your granddaughter sounds lovely! You will be staying in a wonderful resort - Disney's Contemporary Resort is so convenient to both Epcot and Magic Kingdom. You will be able to take the monorail, a boat, or even walk to Magic Kingdom. For access to Epcot, you can use the monorail. Disney's Contemporary Resort will be a great home base for your adventures!

With a 6-year-old granddaughter, I think that you will have a wonderful time with either two days at Magic Kingdom or one day each at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. There is so much to experience at Magic Kingdom that you could easily fill two days, and many more, there! Epcot is my favorite Walt Disney World theme park, and it has always been my daughter's favorite as well. Since you mention that your granddaughter likes Frozen, I would lean towards spending a day at Epcot. Epcot features a lot of the Frozen fun at Walt Disney World, including the opportunity to meet Anna and Elsa at their Royal Sommerhus, as well as the great attraction Frozen Ever After, on which you can ride a boat and see some favorite Frozen characters.

Do be sure to take advantage of making Disney FastPass+ selections before you arrive at Walt Disney World. These will allow you to experience some attractions with shorter wait times, and can be especially good for very popular attractions such as Frozen Ever After.

Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Margaret!
