We're taking our 2 year old daughter for the 1st time in March, I know we just show a copy of her passport o the 1st day entering the parks but does she get a ticket from them to gain entry for the next 14 days?

    Hi Ayesha,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the corner. A fourteen-day visit in the springtime sounds like heaven! You are going to create so many wonderful memories with your little princess. Some of my friends laugh when I recommend that a child be two years old for their first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. They say there is no way the child will remember the visit. I happily tell them that no, my children don't remember their first visit to the parks but I will never, ever forget their sweet faces experiencing the magic for the first time.

I have good news for you. Another great reason for a first visit to be at 2 years old is children under the age of 3 years old do not require a theme park ticket. Having a copy of identification is never a bad idea but it is not required for park entry. While making conversation a Cast Member might ask your child how old they are but that is just making conversation. When my daughter was two years old she went through a phase of telling people she was six. Fortunately, she was tiny and not likely to be mistaken for an older child but it did make us laugh!

You may want to check out the guide Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones. It's filled with advice to help you have a stress-free adventure. You can even download a Preschool Parents' Guide. You will want to be sure you know the location of Baby Care Centers. There is a Center in each theme park and they have nice changing rooms and feeding areas. My last recommendation is Memory Maker. If you haven't already purchased Memory Maker, I suggest you seriously consider it. I absolutely treasure our photos and Memory Maker makes it easy to keep and share those photos.

Ayesha, thank you for visiting us with your question. I do hope you will let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions.
    Wishing you a magical holiday,
    Amy H.
