We are taking 2 umbrella strollers for our 2 and 5 year old. My question is can I leave one of the strollers somewhere long term at the park if we end up not needeing both. If there is somewhere to leave it can/should I lock it up?

    Hi Karen,

I just love your question!!  It reminds me of the "great stroller debate" that raged at my house preceding my son's first trip to Walt Disney World.  He was five-years-old and my husband insisted he didn't need a stroller at Walt Disney World.  I thought he might.  The reason I'm telling you this is that we decided to take the stroller and we were SO glad that we did.  We used it everywhere...in the airport, at the resort, in the parking lots, and all throughout the theme parks.  There is so much walking at Walt Disney World that even a child who typically doesn't ride in a stroller anymore will likely enjoy having access to one.

My advice would be for you to take those strollers and keep them with you at all times.  Even when the kids aren't riding in them, you can use them for carrying a diaper bag for your two-year-old, ponchos, packages, or a change of clothes for the kids.  Be sure to tie something distinctive on the handle of each stroller (like a colorful bandanna, a balloon, or a luggage tag) so the strollers are easy to spot after exiting rides. (You'll never see more strollers anywhere than at Disney!)

If you want, you can check with Guest Services as soon as you enter each theme park to see if there is a secure spot to leave strollers while you are in the park.  I doubt there are lockers than can accommodate them.  I think you'll find it's best to keep them with you at all times.  You just never know when a little one might get sleepy and be ready for some down-time, and I'm sure I don't need to tell you how heavy a sleeping child can be at the end of a full day of play.

Have a magical time, and take lots of pictures!!!  Your kids are at a fabulous age to enjoy Walt Disney World.
