when taking a two year old how does the fast pass option work?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sarah!

I love using FastPass+ reservations when traveling with my toddler because it allows us to enjoy lots of attractions without having to wait in the Standby queue. We can go right to the FastPass+ queue, where the wait is generally shorter, to rider all of our favorites! Since little Mouseketeers who are 2 years old and younger do not need a theme park ticket, they cannot get FastPass+ reservations. But don't worry, they wont miss out on any fun! Simply get FastPass+ reservations for the ticketed Guests in your party (3 years old and older) who would like to enjoy the attraction or entertainment event and proceed to the FastPass+ queue entrance. There, you will touch your MagicBand or admission card at the FastPass+ touch point and then notify the Cast Member that your little one is 2 years old and he or she can proceed into the entrance with you. My little guy loves to touch his wrist to the touch point, just like all the other "big kids", as we are entering the attraction!

Please let us know if you have any other questions! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!

Meet the Panelist: Crystal, Colorado

Hi! I’m Crystal and I’m a wife and mommy to two little Mouseketeers. My husband and I have been enjoying Disney Parks since before we were married, and now we take our children to see Mickey and the gang as often as we can, while  managing my oldest son's food allergies. Planning is key for my family to ensure that everyone has a safe and fun trip to our favorite place and it can be just as exciting as the trip itself. I can’t wait to help you plan your next adventure there, too! Learn More About Crystal
