We are taking our two small children to Disney for the first time this Saturday! Since we are going March 23rd-March 30th and my son's 5th birthday is April 9th, will they still celebrate it? How do I go about making it as special as possible for him? :)

Hi Michael! A first trip to Walt Disney World is a magical birthday present! Definitely celebrate your son's upcoming birthday during your Disney visit -- there's no rule that you may only celebrate on the actual date of your birth. Stop by Guest Services and request a birthday button for your son to wear so that everyone will know he's the birthday boy. Make a note on your resort and dining reservations that you're celebrating, and your son may receive little surprises, such as a cupcake at a meal. Consider reserving a fun character meal such as Chef Mickey's. You can also contact the Disney Florist to arrange for a special gift to be delivered to your resort room.

Wishing you a wonderful first family vacation at Disney! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
