We are taking our twin 9 year old girls for the first time on September 22-24th. With just 3 days to visit Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom and it being our first time... Can anyone tell us what is offered to first timers? We want to do as much as we can!

    Hello, Mallory!

Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the corner! Can you feel the pixie dust yet? A first visit to our magical vacation kingdom is always an exciting trip to plan. First things first -- have you selected your FastPass+ attractions? Disney's FastPass+ service helps guests save time waiting in line at favorite attractions, so make sure to log in to your free My Disney Experience account to make your selections when you get a chance. All guests are entitled to select up to three initial FastPass+ experiences at one theme park per day of linked theme park admission.

In addition to wild rides and exotic animal encounters, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park offers a free educational activity your daughters may enjoy. Children can become Wilderness Explorers by earning badges at stations around the park. One of the best things about this 'extra' activity is that it is completely self-guided. There's no need to rush from station to station, just enjoy it at your own pace.

Sorcerors of the Magic Kingdom is another fun (and free!) activity the whole family can enjoy. Armed with a pack of Spell Cards, your family will embark on a mission to defeat Disney Villains at the many Magic Portals scattered about Magic Kingdom Park.

Both theme parks offer wonderful live performances, thrilling rides and delicious foods, and I hope you will take some time to slow down and just enjoy the atmosphere. I hope your first Walt Disney World vacation is magical, Mallory!
