Hi - We will be taking a trip to WDW in June, it will by my 3 year old son's first trip. I really want to take him to the haunted mansion. I think he will be fine on the ride but not so sure about the beginning. Can we skip the stretching room?

    Welcome Daniel,

I can remember attempting to take my 6 year old niece through the Haunted Mansion and although I knew it was a Happy Stomping Ground of 999 happy, silly ghosts, she did not think so after The Portrait Chamber. We quickly had to leave right after exiting that chamber before even boarding the ride.

Upon departing a not-so menacing, but trying to be, Cast Member let me know that for future reference, once you enter the Haunted Mansion, bravely inform the Cast Member that you would like to surpass The Portrait Chamber because of your young ghostling and they will guide you through the handicap entrance to board the ride.

Enjoy your not-so haunted, but instead magical, Walt Disney World vacation and if I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask.
