We're taking our 1st trip to WDW & my daughter will be 20 months, she still wakes during the night sometimes to noise. Which selection at the POP Century resort is farthest away from noise (pool, elevators, vending machines), Prefered or Standard

    Hi Christal,

The Pop Century is a good choice...by the way!  I have stayed there many times and love the atmosphere there.  If you request a room with low noise level whether it be a "preferred" or "standard" location, you will want to ask for one away from the center of the building.  In the center is where the housekeepers laundry room is located ( this would be more for the early morning noise) as well as vending and ice machines and elevators.  This is typically the noisiest areas of the resort I have found.  You may also want to request a room that is NOT facing the pool area (at night there can be a lot of noise from the late swimmers).  There are 4 buildings that have a pool and they are the 80's, 90's, 60's and 50's.  The 70's building is the only one that does not have a pool and would probably be the most peaceful location of the resort in my opinion.  I would also request a room in one of the "fingers" and perhaps overlooking Hourglass Lake....this is very nice waking up and looking out onto a lake view (sometimes we have duck's visiting at our door and waiting for their morning snack!).  I hope I have helped and that you make many magical memories on your first visit.  Don't forget to get your "It's my first trip to Disney World" buttons, which you should wear during your vacation for some "special" attention.  Have fun!!!

    Best wishes,
