We are taking our 1st trip this september with 3 DDs(5,2,1). We arrive at the airport around 10am. We have a dinner reservation at the Liberty Inn at 8pm. What would you suggest we do during the day? Should we wait to go to the MK until the evening?

Depending on how you're getting from the airport to your hotel, you could arrive at your resort anywhere from about 11:15 to about 12:30. It will take you a few minutes to register at your hotel. The cast members at the desk will give you your Key to the World cards, which will be loaded with any park tickets or dining plan credits that are part of your package. You can also have charging privileges placed on your Key card if you so desire. At this point, my kids would be hungry and cranky. You're unlikely to be able to get into your room just yet, so I would focus on lunch. (You can leave your luggage with the Bell Services desk at the hotel so you don't have to cart it around with you.) I would eat at the hotel for the convenience of it.

At this point you have a few choices. You could head out to the parks. But I personally would wait around the hotel until the room was ready. I would want to try to sneak in a nap for the kids. And I would really want unpack a bit before leaving to go to dinner, because I know that I would be too exhausted after dinner to do a good job of this. If you're looking to kill time at the hotel, perhaps you could go for a swim, shop, or go for a leisurely walk exploring the grounds.

Then, later in the afternoon, after you're all settled and refreshed, I would head over the Magic Kingdom. Since you are arriving in the afternoon, there will, unfortunately, be lines for the rides. I would pick maybe one or two rides that your girls can experience the first day. It's a small world would be a great choice as it would likely appeal to everyone in your group and the lines here are often a bit lighter than at some other attractions. Then you can have a great dinner at the Liberty Tree and perhaps stay for the fireworks.

When you return to your hotel, you'll be all set up to get the kiddos (and yourself) right to bed. In the morning you'll be ready for a full day of park touring.

Hope you all have a great trip!
