I am taking my teenage to Disney World in Jan 2011, I took her to Disneyland when she was younger and she loved it! She is really excited but I am just wondering now that she is older what sort of rides, attractions and shows would be appropriate for her?

    Hayley,

While my girls are 2 and 4, I have traveled there with older kids many times, and trust me, there is plenty to do!

Now the first thing I would tell you to do is plan to hit all four parks fairly evenly, with a little less time at the Animal Kingdom, and a bit more at Hollywood Studios. That way you will probably hit more of what appeals to her. And don't think that the Magic Kingdom has nothing for her. While it does have a great appeal to younger children, there is still a lot there for her, and you!

It would be impossible to list all the attractions and shows that are focused for her here, but I am glad to reply to a follow-up question from you if that would help. Let me know a bit about what she likes (roller coasters, Broadway-style shows, etc.), and I can recommend one or two similar attractions per park based on that.

One item of note, however, is the Epcot World Showcase. This World's Fair of nations is a great way to expose her to other cultures, with great shopping and food!

    Have a magical vacation!
