Mom And Daughter Resort Room

We are taking our son, his wife & kids to WDW on separate reservations. On the DDP, if we take the Grandkids to give our son & wife time to themselves how would the meals for the Grandkids get billed to their account? Do the Gkids have their own?

What a wonderful gift for your son and his family!  Here's the scoop: the dining plan credits are encoded on the Key To The World cards you will be given upon checking in to the resort.  Each member of the party will have his or her own card.  Dining plan credits will be linked to a room, not necessarily an individual.  In other words, if you have your son, his wife, and his two children booked to one room, and you and your wife booked to another, your grandchildren's Key To The World cards will be linked to the dining plan credits available to your son's family as a whole.  They will not be linked to yours.  If you take them out for a meal, just be sure to bring along their Key To The World cards and at the end of the meal ask that the server split the dining credits between your card and one of theirs.  You'll want to be sure that your account is debited the correct amount of credits.  Just check at the bottom of the receipt to ensure everything was done correctly.

We've never had a problem with the server properly charging the dining plan credits and splitting them between two different cards before.  Have a great time!
