I will be taking my parents to visit Disney and my Dad has mobility issues. I would like him to be able to ride, rides like Winnie the Pooh but I know he won’t be able to get on. Do they have any way for him to ride without entering on the moving entrance?

Hello there, Jill! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Walt Disney World Resort does an amazing job providing a magical experience for all of their Guests including those with disabilities! As someone that has to utilize a wheelchair or other mobility devices when visiting the parks, I have had concerns very similar to your own. I have been absolutely surprised and delighted by the accommodations and services that are available to Guests with disabilities at Walt Disney World Resort. I can tell you from firsthand experience that this has completely changed the way my family and I are able to experience the parks in the most positive ways!

There are actually a few categories of accessibility of attractions at Walt Disney World Resort! Some attractions allow Guests to remain in their ECV or wheelchair while experiencing the attraction, some attractions require Guests to transfer from an ECV to a wheelchair to experience an attraction, and some attractions require Guests to transfer from an ECV or wheelchair into a ride vehicle to experience the attraction. You'll be happy to know that The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh can actually be slowed or stopped for Guests that need this to board the ride vehicle. In addition, if your father chooses to use either an ECV or wheelchair, he can actually remain in either of these mobility devices while experiencing this attraction! If you would like to see a full list of accessible attractions, you can that on the Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities web page

Have fun continuing to plan for your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!
