DH and I are taking our 1 y/o next week. We have everything from custom maps to character dining planned for her (1st bday) but I'm wondering if DH will get burnt out on all the "kiddie stuff". What is there for both him AND the little one to e

    Hi Lauren,

There are lots of things for your DH to do so he does not feel it is all about your little one!

Use the child swap option so he can ride the Big Kid rides. Simply ask a cast member at any of the Big Thrill rides like Space Mountain or Expedition Everest to help you with a child swap. This way you both could ride the Big Thrills.

Also, have him take advantage of single rider lines at attractions like Test Track. He will have virtually little waiting and big fun.

How about having him pick out a special place to eat dinner? All of the restaurants are child friendly so bring the little one along or talk to the front desk at your resort for child care options if you are comfortable leaving your little one alone. Many of the panelists have used the child care centers and the Fairy Godmother program.

I am sure any great father will not feel burnt watching his princess enjoy her first birthday in Disney!

    Have a great trip!
