We will be taking our 21 month old son to WDW for the first time, staying in Disney's Carribean Resort with purchased dining plans. How does our son get drinks at meals if he's not old enough for his own dining plan? And does he count on reservatio

Hello Christy, thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I always love to see s fellow North Carolinian asking questions.

When making your dining reservations, yes, do include your 21 month old in the total count of people. Each restaurant can only hold a certain number of bodies, eating or not, due to Florida fire regulations and code.  Giving them an accurate count will make your reservation go much more smoothly.  Don't you just love that your son can dine for free at Walt Disney World?  At all-you-can-eat meals, your son is welcome to have as many of his own plates that he would like.  At restaurants where you order a single entree from a menu, he is welcome to plate share with anyone at your table.  You'll be able to order a drink (water, juice, milk, soda) for your son at no extra charge to you.  If you order a smoothie, milkshake or something with a glow cube or souvenir cup, I'd expect to be charged.

I hope this helps!  If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
