We are taking my mom to Disney World for 12 days in May. Is there a way to add on days to a 10 day Park Hopper or do you have to buy an annual pass or a 10 and 2 day pass?

Hiya, Meridith! Wow! You sound like you have the most pixie-dusted day planned when you embark on that incredible vacation! Won’t you just bring me with you? I hope I can lend some expertise to your issue, because I had nearly the exact same one last year!

I visited Walt Disney World Resort for 20+ days over a few vacations, and after totaling up my potential ticket costs, realized that a Platinum Annual Pass was a better value. I crunched some numbers, and in your case, an Annual Pass would only be $5 more than buying a 10 day Park Hopper and a 2-day Park Hopper (there’s no such thing as a 12-day ticket), but the savings you’ll receive at select eateries and on merchandise are going to save you dividends. Did you also know that your Annual Pass may result in a discounted hotel rate, the ability to sign up for runDisney races early and even savings on tours and special events? You’ll also get unlimited downloads on your PhotoPass photos, which is worth more than $169 as Memory Maker!

But, if you don’t want the Annual Pass (though I highly recommend it in this situation; I love mine!) Yes, you would have to buy a 10-day and then a 2-day pass/ The sticky widget is that when you attempt to make FastPass+ reservations, you will only be able to make them for the first 10 days and wait for the 2-day pass to draw nearer.  With an annual pass, you could make as many as you wanted within the 60-day FastPass+ reservation window. If I can be of any more help to you, please let me know. Remember, you can fly, you can fly, you can fly! ~ Lindsey P.
