We are taking Magical Express from MCO, and arrive too early for room to be ready: heading straight for the parks. Does ME or resort notify me somehow (email, SMS) about the arrival of the bags to the room? I trust Mickey, but I also know wife will worry

    Hi Alberto!

Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!
You're going to love the ease of use and convenience of the wonderful Disney's Magical Express Service!

If you're arriving earlier than check-in time, you'll proceed straight your resort lobby to process check-in and receive your Key to the World Cards - enabling you to begin using Disney Transportation, your access to the parks and even your Disney Dining Plan (if applicable) immediately.

At the time of check-in, your Cast Member may ask you if you wish to be notified by SMS once your resort room is ready to access. You will not receive a message once your luggage has arrived in the room, however you can be assured that once your room has been assigned, and your luggage has arrived at the resort, the fabulous Bell Services Cast Members will get your luggage there, and it will be ready and waiting for you. Your luggage arrival can take as little as 1-2 hours or up to 5 hours to arrive at the resort, depending on volumes and time of day that you arrive.

Tell your wife not to worry! I've used the DME service so many times now and I've never once had my bags not be there when we arrive 'home' from the parks on our first day! Jump straight into the magic, enjoy it all, and when your day is done, retreat to your resort and Mickey will have gotten your bags there for you.

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your great question Alberto. I hope you'll write me back soon with more questions!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
