I am taking my kids (ages 5 and 7) to Disney World next week. I will be the only adult. Will we be able to ride together in Haunted Mansion (3 to a buggy)? How likely for us to be split into 2 cars? What about Dumbo?

    Hi Sheila,

You and your kids will have a great time at WDW!!!  Usually 3 people can fit into a Doom Buggy in the Haunted Mansion - it may be a little snug but it can be done and as they say in the Haunted Mansion - they can make room for every "body" - ha!

Dumbo may be a little tougher - but there is a Dumbo car beside the ride that people sit in to take pictures.  You could try it out before getting in line and consult a cast member at the ride entrance.  If Dumbo proves to be a little tight for you, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin located in Adventureland is basically the same ride and offers more room in the "carpets".  Of course my kids insist on doing both anyway.

A little tip -  When you go to MK - go early, head to straight to Fantasyland and ride Dumbo first before the lines get long.  Dumbo tends to be a very long line for a very short ride and there are no Fast Passes available for this ride.   Then head over to Peter Pan's Flight .

Please let us know if you have any other questions and don't stress over being the only adult.  It can have advantages - you get your kids all to yourself and see  the magic through their eyes.   Have a magical trip!
