We are taking my grandson to Disney World this summer. He is on the spectrum, we are not sure how he will do in the lines. How does the DAS card program work and the people traveling with him?

    Hi Mary-Margaret!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your grandson is one lucky kiddo! I bet he's getting so excited to experience Walt Disney World Resort with you! I had the opportunity of visiting Walt Disney World Resort with my parents while growing up. Watching how happy they are while rolling my son down Main Street, U.S.A. fills my heart with love and pixie dust! In my opinion, multi-generational vacations at Walt Disney World Resort are extra magical.

We use the Disability Access Service Card (DAS Card) for my son during each visit to Walt Disney World Resort! It sounds like the DAS Card will be perfect for your grandson because it accommodates Guests who aren't able to wait in long lines. You will need to head over to a Guest Relations main entrance location and register for the card. The registration process will include taking a picture of your grandson. Once you have the DAS Card, you will be able to walk up to an attraction and receive a return time based on that attraction's current wait time! When you return to ride the attraction, the DAS Card welcomes up to six people in your party to ride with your grandson. As soon as he's finished riding, he'll be able to use his DAS Card and receive a return time for another attraction!

I also wanted to mention that your grandson does not need to be present when receiving the return time at each attraction; however, he does need to be present to ride the attraction at the designated return time. Also, if you have more than six people traveling with you, let the Cast Member know when picking up the DAS Card at Guest Services. They should be able to adjust the number of Guests included on your DAS Card.
