I am taking my granddaughter on her first Disney Cruise. We would like to do the Atlantis Dolphin shallow water interaction and discover Atlantis. Is there an option to also go to the water park there for a half day too, or is there not enough time?

    Ahoy, Debra!

What a lucky little girl to have you as a grandmother! I can't imagine a better way to create special, lifelong memories with your granddaughter than by sharing the magic of a Disney Cruise together.

If you'd like to experience the Atlantis Aquaventure water park along with your dolphin interaction, your best bet is to choose the Atlantis Dolphin Cay Shallow Water Interaction & Aquaventure as your Port Adventure in Nassau. Our family loved this adventure a few years ago when we visited. We tried to book the earliest time slot available for the dolphin interaction so we could maximize our time at the resort. We had plenty of time to enjoy our meet and greet with the dolphins, eat a quick lunch, play in the water park, walk around the resort, and even shop for a bit!

I encourage you to take time to view the professional photos they'll take of your interaction with the dolphins. With the gorgeous Atlantis Resort as the backdrop, our dolphin photos are some of our very favorite vacation pictures! This Port Adventure is an unforgettable, hands-on experience that your granddaughter will be talking about for years to come.

I hope this helps with your planning! Please let us know if you have more questions before your cruise.

    Have a magical day! - Diane W.
