Hi! We're taking our girls to Disney World for the first time in August. What experiences, rides, and dining options do you recommend for a 2 year old and 6 year old?

    Hi Holly,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Mickey and Minnie Mouse just squealed with delight when they heard you are bringing your girls to the Walt Disney World resort for their first trip!

First, be sure you have reviewed the Planning Guide for Pre-School Kids and Little Ones. This guide provides a list of great attractions for little ones and helpful tips for spreading a little extra pixie dust.

Magic Kingdom has a number of rides and attractions that might be perfect for your girls. When my girls were younger, they loved the Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Peter Pan's Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. Of course, you must end one day by watching the Happily Ever After show in front of Cinderella's castle.

At Disney's Animal Kingdom, my girls are just in awe of the animals on Kilimanjaro Safari's and have been swept away by the music and dancing in the Festival of the Lion King show. Of course, if you have any Frozen fans in your house, you have to experience Frozen at Walt Disney World Resort. Anna and Elsa are waiting to meet your princesses at Royal Sommerhus.

Every princess must come prepared to dine with her princess friends at Cinderella's Royal Table. I also suggest Chef Mickey's, The Crystal Palace and Disney's Hollywood & Vine. If Cinderella's Royal Table is not an option, Try Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare or Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.

Remember that princesses from near and far come dressed to impress. We always bring our princess attire with us!

Holly, I do hope you have made dining reservations as restaurants fill quickly!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
