We are taking our four kids (ages 12-4) for their first Disney experience in November. One of my sons is autistic and we will need to plan breaks in his day for him. Which resort is the easiest to access from all the different parks?

The answer to your question depends on which theme you will be spending the most time at. The Disney transportation is great and moves you around the property fairly quickly, but you have to keep in mind that the whole of WDW is about the size of San Francisco, so there is no hotel that is super-close to everything.

If you're going to be spending most of your time at the Magic Kingdom, then the three resorts on the monorail line (Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and Polynesian) are the most convenient, with the quickest access to the park. The Wilderness, though not on the monorail line, is quite close to the Magic Kingdom as well.

There are five hotels that have easy access to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. These are the Boardwalk, the Beach Club, the Yacht Club, the Swan, and the Dolphin.  The Animal Kingdom Lodge is closest to the Animal Kingdom.

    Hope this helps.
