We are taking our first WDW vacation ever, including our 2 year old. We are staying off-site, and easy transport to/from our hotel is not available. Our Magic Kingdom day is scheduled to be long - what rides and/or areas do you suggest for naps?

    Hello Casey,

I'm sure you are really excited about this special first time Walt Disney World vacation. You are sure to find the magic in lots of moments, but especially in the eyes of your little one. As many times as I have traveled there, my favorite moments have been ones that I have seen through the eyes of my children.

This is a great question and one that I can certainly relate to since I have gone numerous times with a toddler. Here are a few of my suggestions for either quiet, dark, shaded, air-conditioned or motion-filled areas to experience with a sleeping child.
    • Carousel of Progress in Tomorrowland
    • Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover
    • Mickey's Philharmagic in Fantasyland
    • Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square
    • Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room in Adventureland
    • Shaded area near Rapunzel Tower near it's a small world (restrooms and benches)
    • Shaded area to the right of Space Mountain entrance (concrete benches)
    • Ride on the monorail (can take a loop or two to Epcot and back)

I hope this offers you some recommendations to consider. Sometimes, I even just stroll around the air-conditioned retail shops on Main Street with my child asleep in the stroller.

    Have a wonderful trip.
