Hello, We will be taking our very first WDW trip this year. My 6 year old has glaucoma and is visually impaired. Are there any accomodations that can be made for him at the character shows or the while waiting in the lines for the rides?

How exciting, Kristin, that you and your family are planning your first visit to WDW!  There are several resources available to you and your son to make his vacation easier and more memorable.  Click here disneydisabilitiesguide to find out more about audiotape guides and tours, Braille guides, and audio attraction descriptions.  At the parks, these guides/aides are available at Guest Relations and usually require a refundable deposit.  As a hint, the resources are most extensive at the Magic Kingdom.  I hope this information helps to alleviate your concerns about making his experience extra special.  Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
