Hello! Taking our first family Vacation with our 10 month old at the end of this month, to WDW. Wondering if we should spread magic kingdom out to two days or try and fit two parks in two days. Overwhelming!!! Thanks ....

    Hi Lesley,

Congratulations on your very first family Walt Disney World vacation!  I'm glad you wrote in to us for vacation planning advice because we are always happy to help.

First, there isn't a wrong answer to your question.  You could easily spend 2-3 days in Magic Kingdom and still not have explored all there is to see and do.  If Magic Kingdom is your primary focus for this vacation then visiting that park for 2 days is a wonderful idea.  Personally my children enjoyed Magic Kingdom the most of all of the theme parks when they were toddlers.  That is not to say they were bored at the other theme parks!  Each park is designed to appeal to every generation and has many layers of interest which delight both babies and adults.  I think you should discuss with your family what it is you want to accomplish during this vacation and simply make plans to do whatever appeals the most to you.  Just remember you can change your mind if you like even if you are already on your vacation.  Although I wholeheartedly agree you should have a plan outlining which theme parks you will visit as well as making your FastPass+ selections ahead of time, I believe you should keep your mindset flexible.  Know that whatever plans you make, your vacation will be Magical!

Lesley another good idea is to view the previous questions and answers about your First Disney Vacation. Please also feel free to continue asking questions about your vacation, we want your vacation to be as Pixie Dusted as you do!
