Taking our first DW trip in 3/16. We stay one night outside resort, rest of trip at Swan resort and will go to Disney Springs one night for dinner. Can't decide if we should rent a car, figuring cost of trip to-from airport and parking? Any thoughts?

    Hey there, Anne!

I know you are counting down to the most magical place on earth! How exciting!

When budgeting transportation, keep in mind that the Swan resort is not a Disney resort, but has the accessibility to Disney amenities, such as the complimentary transportation of buses and boats, once you check in. The Swan charges a daily parking fee, which may be expensive if you decide to rent a car, which is different from Walt Disney World Resorts, which offers free parking to all guests. Since your Disney vacation begins with an off property hotel, you may want to consider alternative airport transportation such as taxicabs or Uber service to get you from the airport to your first hotel, then to the Swan and back to the airport on your day of departure. Keep in mind that the Magical Express does not offer service to and from the Swan.

So, once you check into the Swan, you will be able to ride Disney’s complimentary transportation to any Disney Park, including Disney Springs.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
    Happy planning!
