Hello, My DH and I will taking our DS (3) for his first Disney trip the week of 12-12-12/19. DH and I will be celebrating our 5th anniversary on the 15th. I want to celebrate with DH, but I'm so nervous about leaving DS alone at kids club. HELP!!

    Hi Lyndsey!

I definitely know that feeling well!  My son was 3 years old when we took him to the Neverland Club, now Lilo's Playhouse, at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for the first time.  We were nervous to leave him alone, but very quickly breathed a sigh of relief when we saw his face when we walked through the doors.  The Cast Member counselors in the Children's Activity Center's are fantastic with the children and keep them engaged the entire time between scheduled activities and provided toys and games.  We ended up taking him back for a second night of fun during that trip because he loved it so much.  My kids are now 3 and 6 and practically beg to be taken to a Children's Activity Center to play.  We were there just a couple of weeks ago and they were disappointed that we picked them up so early!

Our favorite center is Lilo's Playhouse at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, but they are all fantastic.  Lilo's has recently been refurbished and is the largest of the centers.  It is also the best location for us since we usually have date night at 'Ohana or we go play at the Magic Kingdom.  We also tried out Simba's Cubhouse at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge during our last visit since we were having dinner at Boma - Flavors of Africa.

Feel free to call and check-in on your little one at any time.  You will receive the direct phone number when you drop him off.

    Happy anniversary!
