We are taking our first Disney trip as a family with a 4 and 1 year old and we are so excited! However I’m so confused about the fast pass! I know it’s to schedule times for rides and meals but is it something I do now or wait closer to our date?

    Hey, howdy, hey, Jennifer!

It sounds like you are getting ready for a rootin', tootin' time at the Disney Parks! Your question is just the right one to be asking as you make your final preparations. If you are visiting Walt Disney World in Florida, you may log in to your My Disney Experience account and start to make dining reservations up to 180 days before your arrival date. And the Disney FastPass+ service may be used to book expedited return times at select attractions, shows, and Character Greetings up to 30 days in advance, or up to 60 days in advance if you are guests at a Disney Resort Hotel, a Disney Springs Resort Area Hotel, or other select nearby hotels. If you are visiting the Disneyland Resort in sunny Southern California, you'll be able to make advanced reservations for dining at select locations as many as 60 days in advance. At the Disneyland Resort, Disney FASTPASS service allows you to reserve return times for select attractions and shows on each day you visit the parks. Simply take your park ticket to the FASTPASS kiosk corresponding to each attraction or show to request a return time. Or, if you purchase Disney MaxPass with your tickets, you may use your mobile device to make those Disneyland Resort FASTPASS reservations.

Speaking of mobile devices, make sure you download the latest versions of the appropriate Disney Parks mobile applications. For the Disneyland Resort, the Disneyland app is your hub for managing FASTPASS, making dining reservations, viewing attraction wait times, find locations of services, and more! The My Disney Experience mobile app unlocks similar magic for your visit to Walt Disney World. Whether you are visiting California or Florida, the Play Disney Parks app is your digital key to extra fun, including trivia, games, and music! The Play Disney Parks app even includes the amazing Star Wars: Datapad, which allows you to explore Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at a whole new level. You may download all of these apps for free from the application store for your mobile device.

Please don't hesitate to return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any additional questions you may have, Jennifer. I hope you have a magical time during your Disney Parks vacation!
