We are taking our first Disney Cruise in April - the Fantasy. My daughter is 3.5 and so excited. Question - her birthday is in July but we were going to celebrate on the ship. Can we do anything special for her birthday??

Welcome aboard, Carin! Disney Cruise Line is a great place to celebrate a birthday!

Even though your daughter's birthday won't occur while you're sailing, you can still call Disney Cruise Line and have a note added to your reservation that you'll be celebrating her birthday onboard. This will let your servers know so they might surprise her with a special dessert and happy birthday song one evening at dinner.

You can ask for a special button at Guest Services so she can wear it to let everyone know she is celebrating her birthday! Disney Cruise Line also offers celebration packages, including stateroom decorations or specialty cakes, that are available to pre-purchase on their website. Imagine opening your stateroom door that first day to find streamers and birthday decorations all around!

Another thing we love to do is make our own magnets at home. Stop by an office supply store and purchase printable magnetic sheets. Then design some cute Disney themed birthday magnets, print them, cut them out and bring them with you. You'll see many guests put magnets on their stateroom doors, and I bet your daughter would love to have one with her name on it proudly displayed on your door.

I hope these ideas help, Carin! Of course, you'll want to be sure to take a look in Mickey's Mates onboard, as you'll find some great souvenirs there as well!
    Have fun planning!
