We’re taking our first Disney Cruise aboard the Dream in April. We will be on the concierge level. I understand there is wood over the metal doors. Is there anyway for my daughter to still decorate the door? Thank you

    Hello there, Colette!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  You have a wonderful adventure awaiting you on the Disney Dream.  Concierge guests get a little extra special treatment from the Concierge hosts which will be a wonderful addition to your already magical upcoming vacation.

One of my favorite things about the Concierge staterooms are the beautiful and elegant wooden stateroom doors.  I always think it makes the area look classic and lovely.  Since they are wooden, affixing magnets is typically a challenge and Disney Cruise Line prohibits the use of tape or another adhesive as to minimize damage to the beautiful finish on the doors.  The interior side of your door can be decorated and magnets should work just fine there!  Another fun way to dress up your stateroom is to hang decorations from the metal hanger beside your stateroom door.  You may find notes from Guest Services or notices left there throughout your stay, but this is an option for decorating the outside area without using magnets on the door.

In-Room Gifts is another wonderful alternative and option for decorations inside your stateroom.  These need to be reserved online at least three days prior to your sailing and they will be in your stateroom when you embark.  We use this service when celebrating a birthday or holiday onboard, but they offer many different options as well!

I hope you have an amazing time and that many magical moments are made aboard the Dream!

    Happy Sailing!
