Hi! We are taking our first cruise in June. Our flight gets in to MCO at 1230am the night before the ships leaves. What is the most economical and convenient way to get to the ship? Thanks!

Welcome aboard, Nicole! It's a great idea to fly in the night before you set sail with Disney Cruise Line. This way, if you find that your flight is delayed, you know you still have hours to play with before you need to be at the ship. I like to play it safe!

The easiest thing to do will be to book a hotel room at the Hyatt at the Orlando International Airport. It's the hotel inside the airport, so you won't have to hassle with taking shuttles to other locations, especially nice since you're arriving after midnight. Plus, they partner with Disney Cruise Line, which means they'll arrange to take your bags the following morning to get them to the ship. Then, all you have to do is head downstairs to the Magical Express area and hop on your Disney Cruise Line ground transportation to go to the ship. The first motorcoaches depart around 10:30 a.m. There is a cost of $35 per person each way for Disney Cruise Line's ground transfers between the airport and cruise port. But, let me tell you from lots of personal experience that this is the easiest and most convenient way to go! Not only will you not have to hassle with bags, but you'll enjoy a relaxing ride, with Disney Cruise Line videos playing, followed by Disney classic cartoons. Then, as you arrive at port, simply hop off the motorcoach with your carry-on bags and check in and wait for your number to be called to board the ship.

Alternately, some guests prefer to hire private transportation to a hotel near the cruise port then take a hotel shuttle or taxi from there to the port in the morning. While after you research a bunch of different transportation companies and hotels, you might find that you can create a plan that saves a little bit, I really find it easier to stick with Disney. They take care of all of the details and make it a seamless transition from land to sea and back again.

I hope those details help as you continue planning, Nicole! Let me know if you have other questions! Happy planning!
