We are taking our first cruise in April 2011, Mexican Riviera out of Los Angeles, Wonder. Is there a pirate night on this ship? I've seen postings recommending pirate stuff and glow sticks. Love this site, great advice, thanks!!!!

    Hi Debby,

Pack those glow sticks, and get ready to party like a Pirate in the Caribbean - even though you'll be sailing along the Pacific coast.  My family doesn't dress up in full pirate garb, we prefer to simply accessorize with eye patches, earring (one big pirate hoop), and crazy teeth.  I like to plan ahead and shop at a discount or dollar store, but there are many of these items available onboard.

We always bring glow necklaces, the kids prefer the necklaces over the sticks to keep their hands free, and it makes it easier for me to keep tabs on them in the crowd.

Although many guests love this opportunity to dress up, others just love the opportunity to party - costumes and/or accessories are not required, and you will not be out of place should not have the extra room in your suitcase.

    Have a great time!
