I am taking my family to wdw in November of 2015 this will be the first trip with my new partner (45 year old male) and he is concerned that he will not have a good time (thinks it is to kid oriented) what do you recommend for his first visit?

    Linda,
I can absolutely help you with this question as I take pride in planning a well-rounded itinerary for all travelers. If your partner is anything like my husband, he'll appreciate a well planned trip. For instance, have an itinerary in mind. Create your own spreadsheet with travel dates and the hours of park operation each day. If you're tech savvy, utilize the My Disney Experience app on your smartphone to build your itinerary. You can always allow for flexibility to switch up the plan, but it helps to have an idea of what park you'll visit on each day. Take advantage of FastPass+ which allows you to pre-select attractions and time slots before you arrive. Utilizing this technology equates to less waiting in line! My best advice is to stand in the normal lines in the early mornings and book your FastPass+ options for when crowds are heaviest: afternoons and evenings. Don't forget the thrill rides like Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Space Mountain and Expedition Everest. They get plenty of adults' hearts pumping!

Book your Advance Dining Reservations as early as 180-days prior to arrival. Does he prefer certain cuisines? Walt Disney World Resort offers outstanding dining options, which are often well themed. A family favorite of ours is 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort. You'll explore the Polynesian grounds, partake in Hawaiian delicacies and enjoy live nightly entertainment that incorporates kids activities, too. You could even arrange for the Activity Centers to watch with your children while you enjoy a Signature meal together, just the two of you. Head to Downtown Disney where the theme can feel a bit more "adult" in the evenings.

Consider recreation options, like golf, fishing or boating. There are so many ideas to maximize the Disney fun!

I'm limited in space, Linda, but I'm happy to offer a more tailored itinerary. Let me know your partner's interests and I can give you more tips.
