We will be taking a family vacation the beginning of March. If baby arrives on his due date, he will be 6 week old when we leave for Disney World. Looking for suggestions on where he should sleep. Do they have cribs? Will he be too small for a crib?

    Hi Lisa,

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question and congratulations on the upcoming addition of your little prince to your family!

All three of my boys have been visiting Walt Disney World since they were just babies, with my youngest being 5 months old when he made his first trip, so I completely understand wanting to plan out the sleeping situation in advance.  There are a couple good options available to you, so the choice about which will be the best one for your family is yours.  What I usually did was to pick the option that was closest to the sleep situation at home at the time.

All Disney Resort hotels have Pack 'n Play cribs available at no charge.  You can request one for your room by calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at this link.  If you do online check-in, you may also see it listed there as a request.  A basic sheet is provided, but you're welcome to bring your own bedding from home if you'd prefer.

Renting a full-size crib or bassinet is another option.  The crib will be delivered for you on your arrival day and picked up again on the day you depart.  There are several local companies in the area that offer crib rental, but I can tell you I've used A Baby's Best Friend in the past and was happy with the service.  Although it is an extra expense, if it makes the difference between your little one (and you!) sleeping well during your trip, I think it's well worth it.

When you're in the parks, be sure to take advantage of the Baby Care Centers, too.  Whether you're feeding your little one, need a place to change him or just want a quiet, cool place to rest, those are lifesavers!

I hope that helps, Lisa, and sending pixie dust for the rest of your planning!
