I am taking my family on Disney cruise in Sept but wanted to know if I need to purchase excursion in advance or will I be OK to book day of?

    Ahoy, Tiffany!

I always find booking my Port Adventures to be a tough decision. But, I have also found that I like to book in advance, just to ensure that our family will be able to do the things that we really want to do.

That being said, since your question is in the Castaway Cay category, I am going to guess that you are asking specifically about CC Port Adventures. If you are looking to do things like Parasailing or the Watercraft Ski Adventure, I would recommend booking in advance, as these Port Adventures typically fill up. If you decide while you are onboard that you might like to try Castaway Ray's Stingray Adventure, you will want to visit the Port Adventures desk to inquire about booking it.

There are PLENTY of floats and snorkel equipment to rent, so that is something that you could decide when you arrive to Castaway Cay for the day. We have found that we always run out of time to do everything that we want to do, which just leaves us something to plan for our NEXT cruise!

I hope you have a great cruise in September. Your countdown is in the double digits, hooray! Please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions as your cruise gets closer.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.

“If you can dream it, you can do it” just about sums up my life. I am a mother of two amazing girls and wife to a fantastic man, all of whom support my passion for all things Disney. I am a thrill seeker, and have been fortunate enough to go parasailing high above the Disney Fantasy, zip-lining in St. Lucia, and swimming with stingrays in Grand Cayman – all while sailing the seas with Disney Cruise Line.
